Hi all!

I love the Big Bang story No Mere Abstraction and the sequel Happy Season bei JoJo, and the stories inspired me to play a bit with that letter Maxim wrote.

From the beginning I had Nurejew in my mind when I read about Maxim. So I found some very nice pictures.

Oh this is wonderful! I love their profiles against the deep blues of the background. I also really like the soft edged white silhouette - that together with the word 'Russia' make me think of winter-bound Europe.

This is wonderful!

I am really enjoying how people are all reacting to each other's works at the moment, and this is a fantastic response. The grey-blue and white make it all chilly and brrr! and then that little photo is just so cheeky and cheerful and heart-warming.

Very haunting, I love how the lads' faces are both dominant and also part of the background. Doyle's in particular, which is so appropriate to the idea underlying the stories. The composition as a whole is just perfect. :))

At first, I didn't think I'd like 'No Mere Abstraction' when I first saw mention of a ballet dancer in the spoiler, I dont know why but ballerinas somehow get my hackles up when they get too near to our lads. That is of course before I was introduced to decidedly male Maxim who is so easy to fall in love with and has muscled in so well to this years DIAL with a sequel and firlefanzines lovely artwork.
