Well, it's been a bit frantic here over the last few days (when is it not!) and I can't even begin to remember how I was going to explain away this one. I very much doubt it even counts as Pros. *Basically*, some of you may have seen a green-eyed-Ray-with-willows that I made last year? Well, it's on my AO3 anyway... [livejournal.com profile] jaicen5 and I were discussing MS's seemingly-fluid eye colour the other week, and I had a sudden wintery vision that wanted to be made. Once again, it's not what I was planning to manip next, but hey! These things happen (apparently.) And I'm sorely afraid it's about as far removed from canon as it's possible to be, and sorely lacking in Human-Bodie. (Note to self: remedy this next time) Anyway, I hope at least some of you like... ;-)

"These things happen..."
*g* Don't tell me about it... :-)

"And I'm sorely afraid it's about as far removed from canon as it's possible to be, and sorely lacking in Human-Bodie."
Now and then I can happily live with 'strange' AUs. And I see Bodie there! :-)
I really wonder the story behind it all - maybe someone feels inspired?

Anyway, I really like it! Let things happen! :-)
Thank you!

Well, Cowley under the blanket would be another story... ;-)

I've been inspired if you don't mind. It might be a while but I'd love to use your picture as inspiration.

I actually made some notes so this just might go for next year's BB. :)

That is so beautiful! I'm really lost for words.

Although, the dog could be Bodie guarding his Doyle.

Thank you so much for sharing this. ♥

That's beautiful! Really stunning. (Although, having just been out in the snow, I do fear "Doyle" is, magic or not, freezing... *g*) The colors, the composition...it's just really perfect. All sorts of stories could stem from this! Thank you so much.

It's delightful, thank you! You've done a beautiful job of blending it all together - you must have the patience of a saint - and it's so whimsical and wintery and... just perfect. Who cares how far from canon it is - it's fabulous! Thank you again.

What a fabulous AU Doyle image! :D

MS's seemingly-fluid eye colour ...and I had a sudden wintery vision that wanted to be made ..I think you've succeeded in capturing that exactly!

It really does invite the viewer to fill in the story. I also like the lighting - so atmospheric.

Great work!

Oh wow, lovely!

You mention Doyle in the willows (which always makes me think of a moment in HG and Sebastian's 'No Unicorns' letter fic story (http://hatstand.slashcity.net/hg/unicorns.html)) - is this your willow picture, on this post (http://giseerouchon.livejournal.com/3777.html) of yours?

Not at all the Doyle I think of normally, but, as it happens, I too have recently been imagining an image rather like this (ie, Doyle looking all woodland spirit / Pan / something) as the starting point for a ficlet.

It was on the back burner. Hmm. May have to get back to that one...

I love all the different parts - the wolf and the light and particularly the holly crown. I'm still not certain about his eye colour, mind, so please do keep investigating. Your efforts in the service of research are appreciated, I am sure!

(Edited to add link to No Unicorns as well as your pic.)

It's absolutely lovely--I'm sure it's Bodie's Chirstmas night dream! I think it will be mine.

Blimey! That's awesome! I love the Narnia feel to it, and the pagan feel. I do think of the wolf as Bodie (as someone up-thread has said). I love the sunrise behind his head and the baubles on the tree, and the manip itself is excellent. Well done! What a treat to come home to after a rather rubbish day! :)

Ohhh, this is really cool. I love it. So mystical and interesting. I'm going with Bodie-Wolf there too. I like Doyle a lot. The colours are wonderful. I'm sold!

It's wonderful. I love the sunrise in the background and the sunrays over the snow.

It remindes me of the movie " Ladyhawk " where one of the main characters during the day is a hawk and the other protagonist at night is a wolf.

I think Bodie is the wolf and maybe Doyle would change into the hawk in a few minutes.

Ooh, I do like me a bit of mystical Doyle (as long as he's not an elf! *g*)

You do realise that this is crying out for an AU fic - are you going to oblige?

Ooh, I like this - and there may even be a story to match somewhere *searches*...

Lysimache's "Bears a Berry (http://discoveredinalj.livejournal.com/126248.html)" from a few years ago 2008 - bloody Norah! I think there's something of Oak in this manip even if the robe is white rather than green, and a couple of other things are different. It feels quite like that story anyhow.
