I somehow ran out of time this year, all of a sudden it’s nearly Christmas!
Having signed up late and then getting an early posting date, I had to come up with something PDQ so excuse the link rather than a cut and excuse the fact that I had to finish this in two days. All mistakes are entirely mine ...

It was lovely to see Doyle take a damaged Bodie under his wing. Perfect for the season!

You did well to write and illustrate when time was against you!

What a lovely story. So moving and tender. I can really see something like this happening in the lads' lives. I think that you captured it perfectly. Just the right mixture of poignancy and hope, and a little sentimentality for Christmas. :)

Thank you! The lads will always end up together, despite everything. I loved their meeting, and both of them showing faith in their own ways.

I didn't think I was that much of a romantic but there were so many lines here which really pulled at the heart strings:

That voice. The voice that he had wondered if he would ever hear again. That voice had spoken to him. That treasured voice. Gathering himself, he turned back to the dark figure sheltering in the doorway. The tears had already sprung from his own eyes before he faced the tired blue ones looking hopefully back at him.

Bodie shrank back interpreting the man’s stance as the sign of yet another familiar beating.

Poor, poor Bodie.....but thank god he's saved from that unbearable life, the perfect Christmas fic. Thank you!

A lovely story that really demonstrates the true meaning of Christmas - caring and sharing and believing and forgiving. This was filled many great lines - my favorite being the line that pretty much defines their relationship:

I still believed. I always believed. I knew that you’d come back to me if you could. Either that or I had to think that you were dead. I couldn’t do that, Bodie. That would have been the end of my hope.”

Love the artwork, too. You've done a great job in such a short time. Thanks for sharing this with us.
