For some reason discoveredinalj challenges are never listed as ongoing challenges on the Pros Newsletter anymore, but this is definitely an ongoing challenge - anyone is welcome to fill in a square on the Community Bingo Card, and anyone is welcome to sign up for one of their own too! Haven't got round to reading yours yet, I'm hopeless, but it does seem like fun. I can't cope with the worry of letting people down with most challenges, but this really is very elastic sided.

Even I should be able to come up with something by November!

I have my thinking cap on. And this was supposed to be my MFU year - the lads really are addictive...

You might alert Pros Newsletter - perhaps it doesn't reach her feed for some reason?

Unfortunately she won't do it any more, though I'm not sure why. The first two Newsletterists knew the challenges were ongoing from one date to another and included them each week as such, whether another post had been made or not, and so did Birgitt originally. When I first realised they were being dropped from the list each week, I commented to alert/remind her, but her replies tended to be negative, and she eventually told me that she wasn't going to respond to me any more about it, so... It's a shame, because there are alot of non-Pros challenge sites included on the Pros newsletter now, but the only time a discoveredinalj challenge is mentioned is when it's first posted (although I see that she's included this particular post under the Challenges section this time, rather than Misc. which is where similar posts tended to end up for a long time, so that's something). This was all a few years ago now, when I was posting Dialj challenges regularly, but it's been going on for a long time.

Why not drop them a line and let them know? I'm sure they'd be happy to include it.

I'm always a bit astounded when anything I've done gets included.

I am thinking of doing something for this, like you said, November, not much pressure, but if I do I might need help posting as I'm not sure I've got the format straight. On the other hand I expect loads of people will have posted before I get round to anything, so I could probably just copy them :0)

Anyhoo - lads are calling - two stories nearly finished (did think about them for this, but they're my own ideas dredged from WIP notes and I couldn't see where they fitted any of the prompts - bit of a shame - still, it's only Feb - I'm sure creative juices are mulling magnificence as we speak to fill the board).

No, sadly she wouldn't be happy to include it (see explanation/comment above to the Hag). You shouldn't be surprised at being included for Pros posts, that was the whole point of the Pros Newsletter when it was originally set up by paris7am, who did a fabulous job for ages - it was definitely a labour of love! The idea was that people could use it to find Pros posts and challenges and friends to chat with about the lads - anyone posting about the lads was included.

There's no format to worry about when Posting to Pros Bingo - as you can see, Dawnebeth simply posted her story and then I made a post formatting the card itself. And of course instructions for posting are on the User Info page (e.g. use a trailer under a cut, not a header). So don't let that put you off!

That's a shame. Read your reply to the Hag, won't ask the ins and outs. But it is a shame.

After responding to dawnebeth, I've had a bit of a light bulb moment, so I'm busy scribbling away inspired by one of the community prompts.

I doubt it will be your sort of thing. I've gone off on a bit of a tangent and suspect it will be entirely gen, but it definitely fits the prompt, whether it gets used or not, and I'm enjoying myself.

So I'll definitely post it somewhere.

If I'm happy with the way this turns out I might try another. Perhaps a bit more slashy (spell checker wants to correct that to splashy or sloshy- not sure how to take that!) My brain hasn't been in a very slashy, splashy or sloshy mood lately. Think I may have overdosed.
