Ohmigod - I already have the fic for those pictures!! Like most stuff it's not finished, but - wow! And it's sci-fi meets LoTR! It's actually based on a story that someone else started and didn't finished, so I carried it on, but... but... *vbg*

Ah, thank you! I have a problem with this story though - I can't contact the author to ask her permission to post her beginning online, so I'm a bit stuck about being able to do anything with it. I suppose I could re-write the start and say "inspired by..." It's her start that talks about Bodie's black armour, and my bit imagines Doyle in green-based armour! I'd like to write more of it, but if I can't post it ever... erk! (I wonder if I could get away with posting it just in a comment here...? Hmmn...)

Well, I put Bodie in black armour without having read either story, and Doyle in green armour without having read yours, so I reckon if you do as you suggest and create an original beginning to the story, crediting the original writer for its inspiration, you should be fine to post whatever you write.

I suspect that Bodie and Doyle in black and green armour is more of an Austen-esque universal constant than any magic of mine, and yes, the lads are definitely facing each other (because where else would they be looking, eh? :-)

Admittedly, Minori's AU is anime inspired rather than LOTR, but the correlation seemed obvious to me.

Bodie always looks great in black, he broods wonderfully - although, personally, I always like him in all the burnt umbers, ochres and earthy/foresty tones. Not sure what that's all about - my psyche, a cesspool of the mediocre and inexplicable!
