fiorenza_a and loxleyprince for gorgeous glimpses of our lads. (Oddly enough, neither of them has icons with lads on, but if you peer into the background of the bingo card, our lads are there. No wonder Doyle's looking a bit abandoned in the only Pros-lads icon we have up so far! If anyone would like to add some Pros-iness...? *vbg*

Pros icons
Date: 2016-10-04 01:41 pm (UTC)I've got a couple, but I tend to stick to me city river as default because I may not just post Pros (it's a variant of my AO3/FF icon). And I added me name to it when I was mucking about with arty software.
I took it (the photo) one night on the way home from work - it was only about 18:30ish - although in those days I often worked much later - but it was the end of autumn/ beginning of winter and therefore already dark. You can see scullers on the water if you peer closely enough - though you'd probably need a microscope at that size!
Must have another sort of me icons - I'm a big fan of Loxley's Plot Bunny one!
She posted some angels and I stole her bunny idea and put it together with some other pics to come up with this:

And I'm so glad you're thinking of having a Bingo go too, I got so enthused I've got a - whisper-it-quietly - MFU (http://fiorenza-a.livejournal.com/32108.html#/32108.html) one on the go - deadline foreva - just to make life easy - but I've already got a nigh complete story and a vid idea in the works :0)
I've nearly got a wee line on my (individual) Pros (http://fiorenza-a.livejournal.com/29583.html#/29583.html) one - and I'm going to keep going with mine, even after the deadline - though I'm not sure if I would still be able to post them to DIALJ - I expect we'll be on to other things by then - but I would like a full card eventually!

Date: 2016-10-05 08:56 am (UTC)ETA - Someone once said to me that she thought using different icons was like choosing a bit of jewellery to wear, and that everyone's different icons made lj shiny and sparkling, and I definitely agree! I like to see Pros jewellery around the Pros comms - and I can see you've got a couple of Pros icons that it would definitely be nice to see more of!

Date: 2016-10-05 10:36 am (UTC)Loxley (as far as I'm aware) hasn't done any like this for Pros - the Napoleon angel came up in a MFU discussion over at Del Floria's (http://mfu-delflorias.livejournal.com/145008.html#/145008.html) (although the original Napoleon icon is now missing from the comment thread) and I wouldn't/couldn't touch any of those posted to mark the loss of Mr C.
But I have been toying with a vid idea for one of my individual (http://fiorenza-a.livejournal.com/29583.html#/29583.html) squares, I'm ripping some eps to a malleable format as we speak.
And I suppose I could get my own paintbox out again, but I'm kinda hoping to get my act together with the 'womble' WIP I pressed into service for the challenge. I've got a bit of a plot hole in it at the mo - but I'm having such fun with it and its over two thirds of the way there...

So it all ended up very Prosy - I just have an untidy mind...
But Prosy goodness will ensue! :0)

Capri's and Choppers - no wonder we fell in love...

Now it's part of the charm (and fuels my nostalgia). It could so easily have missed all of that if it had had more sets and more money - compare with The Protectors shot only a few years earlier. That's famous for its location shooting, but you hardly get a glimpse of a real interior or a genuine street.
I love that the various Pros interiors are filled with things I remember and are clearly 'real spaces' and that the street shots are often so candid.
Both are a product of circumstance, I know, but I'm glad it worked out the way it did for Pros.

- the Community Pros Bingo Card
There's alot going on in life, and if you're not sure you'd be able to fill in a whole bingo line (let alone a blackout!) on your own, then this is for you - we can do it as a community! The Community Pros Bingo Card is posted below, and anyone can join in at any time - let's see if between us we can get first a Bingo!, then another Bingo! and maybe even a Blackout!
Sign-up by commenting below to say that you'd like to help with the Community Pros Bingo Card,and then simply start creating and posting to the community! Let us know with each post you make which square your creation is for, and we'll stamp that one with your icon and post the card to show everyone where we're up to. (The only potential glitch with this one is that two people might go for the same square at once - if that happens, then I'll accept the first and add some random additional border-squares to the card where I'll add the other icons!)Hope that makes sense. If you follow the bingo2016 tag it'll take you to all posts made so far (some are for individual cards, some for the community card, you'll see which).
