Bodie and Doyle had a hard year and were involved in some difficult cases.
Doyle is speaking with Jax about the time Bodie was taken hostage by a band of terrorists...
And he remembers the problems around King Billy and Bodie's untimely involvement with that bike race, where he also implicated Doyle...

But now, it's Christmas time and the moment has come to put all that behind them and do their gift shopping.

Cowley's gift is not yet wrapped, unless the other gifts.

It's time to enjoy a bit of respite in their garden, where Doyle listen to Bodie playing his guitar for him, while drinking tea and admiring Doyle's newly acquired Sentinel Lions.

Afterwards, Doyle spends some time in their newly refurbished kitchen, thinking about their Christmas meal.

Then, after the meal, they relax on their patio and Doyle shows proudly to Bodie the wine cabinet he made for them, while they drink some nice French Champagne.

Impossible to resist showing a detail of the champagne chilling on the table!

And as, in my universe, Bodie and Doyle love cats and have adopted some, here are the pictures of two of them. The lazy, white and ginger one sleeping in a bowl is Doyle's, and the black and white one doing his business in his cat litter box, after having kicked over his pot of cat mint, is Bodie's.

That's all, folks! Hope you enjoyed my little story...

Date: 2018-12-30 01:24 pm (UTC)Okay, to add an lj-cut, you need to go back into your post and edit it - go to the post, and you should see some icons on it. The one that looks like a pencil is the editing button. Hit that! *g*
Then you need to add the actual code to make the cut (which is the easiest way of doing it because you are totally in control of what happens). You'll see something like this window. Make sure you're on the html tab (top right arrow) and then add the code that looks like this <*lj-cut text="Here is my story"> - only of course use whatever title you like instead of "Here is my story" - just make sure it's in quotation marks. And don't put an asterisk in it - I had to do that so that you could see the code, because otherwise it would have just worked and made a cut. *g*
Then go down and hit Post, and it should work! If it doesn't, then go back into the post again, and check to make sure that you copied the code I gave exactly. It should start and finish with < >, the actual words must be in plain quotation marks, there must be a hyphen between lj-cut and so on.
BUT - while I was typing this, you've managed to do it anyway! I'm going to post this anyway, since I started it and it might be useful sometime, but well done and thank you! *g*

Date: 2018-12-30 01:09 pm (UTC)Wait a minute - you seem to have done it! I can see one pic now, then an lj-cut! Well done, and thank you! *g*

Date: 2018-12-30 09:34 pm (UTC)Thanks for that interpretation of why the shopping cart is so small, LOL! Clever. I wish I had thought of it!
Doyle's bike is a model which is actually falling a bit to pieces, very fragile, but I managed to hide it in the pic. This is why he's standing besides it and not on it. And the wine cabinet was put together by me, from a kit I bought.
in China, again. Not too difficult as all the pieces are just clicked together, but it took me quite a bit of time as I'm not very skilled with my hands.
And all the cats are Japanese miniatures, now very difficult to find and some are now horribly expensive (like the one in his litter box - he's now costing an arm and a leg, and was very cheap when I bought him, about 20 years ago.)

Date: 2018-12-30 10:02 pm (UTC)Yes, sometimes the prices for the little things go high like a rocket and become very expensive. I think my whole dolls house with all in it might have cost near to 8..000,- - 10.000,- Euro all in all. My wine glasses and the bottles are mostly handmade and all of real glas, so there is one wine bottle which had an higher prices than a real wine bottle for me would have had.
I think it is amazing what we do because we collect this things. :-)

Date: 2018-12-30 11:09 pm (UTC)The Champagne bottle in the pic was a gift from my sister, and I know it was an expensive one. Conversely, the cart came from China too and was quite reasonably priced.
Yes, Doyle will work on his bike for next year's post, I promise!

Date: 2019-01-03 05:18 am (UTC)('whisky' = Scottish or scottish-style whisky. For example, Suntory in Japan started whisky production there, and their whiskies omit the 'e'. There are also Australian brands.
'whiskey' is Irish-style spelling, and that's what travelled to America, with the name stretching to 'Bourbon County' styles as well. Cowley drinks whisky, although I've never seen what he'd do if faced with a good whiskey).
