Let 2019 begin - Discovered in the Fog!

Not that I'm jumping right in or anything, but - shall we have some new discoveredinalj challenges this year? It's been a while since we had a go at this, but January's usually quiet, and on the one hand we're still getting over the excitement of Christmas and the New Year and all, but on the other... Challenge?!

It occurred to me when I was writing the challenge-end post yesterday for Discovered on a Midnight Clear that actually the silly wee bit that I included just for fun could be so many stories, and wouldn't it be fun to see how other people imagined things and made them interesting, and I don't think we've had this kind of prompt before, and...and... *g* Plus it has been rather foggy out there lately, and although winter in the lads' world can be rather grim and grey, they are eternally our lights shining in the gloom! Shall we have some lights shining in January?! So here is your challenge, should you choose to accept it!

Use any or all of these elements to create a post for Discovered in the Fog:

...they happen to get lost together in the fog somewhere...
...and end up trapped in some small space...
...very close to each other...
...desperately trying to keep warm...
...and survive the night...
(Or use none of them if you prefer, and are otherwise inspired by the idea of being Discovered in the Fog)! It could be a story, drabble, poem, artwork, vid, craftwork... anything you're inspired to create that's related to the challenge. Well, and Pros, obviously... *g*

Please comment below if you would like to join in (or don't comment, and just surprise us... *g*) and then make your post to the community any time between now and the end of January. The posting deadline is midnight in your own time zone (or if you're right on the edge, then feel free to use Pago Pago time *g*) on 31st January. Don't forget that we use trailers here at discoveredinalj - the format can be found on the User Info page for copying-and-pasting, and it goes at the end of your post under a cut so that no one's spoilered if they don't want to be.

You're right, that's entirely important - without some kind of feedback, and knowing that someone is listening, people won't make the posts to start with.

It's definitely not too late - the challenge deadline isn't until the end of January, and people are free to comment and post and join in however they can until then! I'd love to see your take on the lads and fog - and welcome to discoveredinalj, I don't think I've seen you about in Pros yet? *g*

ETA - and I meant to say, great photos! I love the top one especially, lads-wise - I can just imagine them somewhere there... *g*

Thank you for your kind words about the photos... it was -25 when I took the one of the fog bank out over the lake! But I, too, am leaning toward the top one for inspiration.
I'm fairly new into the fandom, although I'm a fan of Pros dating from its time on tv... found my way to Tea and Swiss Roll and the muse struck! I've posted a few works on AO3 over the last little while, all of which, (not so) coincidentally, are Weekly Obbo responses. As I said, I love me a good prompt.
Now to head off into the fog... :)

I had to double-check your location when I read -25 - Canada! Which part are you in? I live in England now, but I lived in Alaska for a while, and sometimes I miss -25C! Well, I miss crispy-cold clear days with beautiful snow and pale skies, anyway... *g*

Glad to hear the muse struck - I guess if you've been posting at Tea and Swiss Roll then that's why we've not met (long story...), but I'm glad you've found your way here! (And do you know ci5hq? Lots of story recs and things... *vbg*)

I'm in southern Ontario; the lake in the photo is Lake Ontario. When the air is that frigid over the open water, there can be some spectacular fog effects - the fog bank in that photo was gently rolling, and there were fine wisps of fog drifting in front of it, closer to shore. Er... did I mention I love fog...? (For the record, my profile photos also show Lake Ontario... quite a difference between summer and winter!)
Everything I've posted to T&SR, is also on Archive of Our Own... ubicaritas without the 9
And no, I do not know ci5hq... I shall have to do some exploring, I think. Thank you for the recommendation. :)
