"He's always coming out with the cop dialogue, the Sherlock Holmes bit: This is how we do it, Watson. I just lurk along behind him. Waiting.He's a rebellious cop, i'm a rebellious rebel.One thing for him, he keeps an eye on everyone. It's the shark eats shark situation.We might be mates, but we're trained to kill our own men, if necessary, right. If our mates turn double-agent or double-double, we're supposed to knock our own boys off. Doyle's got that attitude, which he should have.....not sure i do"

Gorgeous pics for today - thank you! I especially Doyle with his lovely lean. That pic always makes me think of Lesley Conch's Fly on the Wall fic, which makes me giggle every time! *g*

Fascinating the idea that Doyle's the one who could be cold if he had to be, whereas Bodie couldn't. We probably get that about Bodie from Kickback and Hiding to Nothing, but I'm trying to think whether there's an episode where Doyle gives the impression he'd turn on Bodie if he had to. He hates spying on him in Fall Girl as much as Bodie hates spying on Doyle in Involvement. He's cross with Bodie in Wild Justice, but he's willing to fight to the end with him when it comes to it, rather than take him out to stop him. And he winces when Cowley kills Manton in thingie-ep-the-name's-gone-from-me-just-now...

Thankyou so much and i'm glad that you like the Doyle image. I love this insight into what each partner feels. I got to thinking also about Doyle's character and if he really could turn against Bodie and i don't think he would, even when things aren't running smoothly between them for example in the episode "involvement" they always find a way of slotting back in to place. Maybe that's something up for discussion some time "would Doyle really turn against Bodie if the need arises"

I especially enjoy how much characterization you fit into two paragraphs. Doyle's assessment of Bodie (and for whatever reason I'm reading these like a report, something each of them had to write up for Dr. Ross or Cowley or something), Doyle's assessment is very dry and facts only except when he betrays himself with lines like:
"I admire him as a professional." (No sir, nothing more, purely professional here!)
and
"We depend on each other entirely. " (This is a truth and admission of vulnerability)

Bodie's assessment is all the gushing and praise and self-effacement.

Thank you so much. This does feel very much like a character study being given to someone like Dr Ross or even Mr Cowley. It's lovely to know what each partner sees in the other. Bodie seems full of praise for Doyle, and Doyle's respect for Bodie's professionalism on the job shines through., i do think their vulnerability is there in both partners for all to see.

Thankyou, these interviews or character studies by each partner give a good insight into how they see one another and their feelings. Would Doyle (for instance) turn against Bodie if need be. I don't think that he would but the question remains.
