* A FRIEND AT CHRISTMAS *

As i stop to count my blessings
there is one thing that rings true,
I will always be so grateful
for the friend i found in you.



I am grateful for the special moments
that we've shared throughout the years,
the times that have brought us closer
through the laughter and the tears.

I am grateful just to have someone
as kind and good as you,
to share my finest moments with
and share my sorrows too.



And when i look upon my life
what will matter in the end
is that i was really lucky
to find that one, true, faithful friend.

I can't imagine what that must be like. Everyone I've lost I've always known there was no hope for them, but I think to lose someone quickly is a terrible, terrible shock, on top of the grief of losing them, so a double blow for you to endure. Do take care.

Thankyou so much, i think in my hopes i thought the antibiotics would work and he would end up in respite care but he was too fragile to beat the pneumonia. I think you never give up hoping for a miracle.
