Happy New Year everyone - here's to a much improved 2023 for the whole world, and to our lads always.
I thought this could be another everyone-post-if-they'd-like-to day, because last year that worked really well on Christmas day, but it seems to have quietened down even more this year, so I shall send this invitation with crossed fingers and held thumbs, because it would be lovely to start 2023 as we mean to go on - with lots of Pros posts! *g*
But maybe I shall also ask some New Year questions too - you could reply here, or you could make a post to the comm yourself in reply!

Date: 2023-01-01 04:08 pm (UTC)I want an in person BistoCon so I can immerse myself with the lads all weekend with like-minded peeps, face to face.
I'm thankful for the Global Pros Watch so I can chat with other Pros lovers and that will continue, which is great.
I want the lads together, happy and shagging. I'm a simple kind of person. *bg*
I miss some of the wonderful fan artists drawing slashy lads so I'd love to see some art like that this year!
I hope Discovered continues its grand traditions of encouraging writers, artists and vidders in 2023. The 2022 Snowglobe has been such fun.

Date: 2023-01-01 09:11 pm (UTC)I can't believe I forgot the ProsWatch this weekend too - I remembered just about as it was over (I'd gone out to do chores before dark, which is quite early here these days).
I guess whether Dialj continues will depend on whether people are still around. We've done okay this year, but it's getting fewer and fewer, and fewer people commenting... only two other Christmas day posts, and none today... We're definitely shrinking... But cross fingers!

That's an interesting question...... but desperately *g* .... no, I'd like to see banter and teasing and one or two little secrets of Bodie and Doyle — stuff for our writers to make fantastic stories out of it.
Like sc_fossile wrote — Pros Watch is so much fun :-) and the challenges/Discovered ..... it's tradition, the BB as well — something to look forward to

I would love to see the lads having fun together this year. I would love to see some new art, not only when it's BB or DIALJ time.
Would be nice to have some challenges. And I will try to start some of my own (maybe not on DIALJ, but in one of the other comms)
If someone would find a lost Pros episode I would love to see Tommy again and Macklin. Murphy and Betty would be nice too. But I don't have any idea what that episode should be about.
My Pros wish is to read more stories and that the source of stories will never end.

Date: 2023-01-01 09:39 pm (UTC)First things first, it wasn't meant as a complaint when I said the thing about the challenges. I wanted to do an Easter challenge here on DIALJ, but work and RL threw a spanner in my way. Sorry for that.
I thought about an icon challenge like we had over at Pros Icon Test a few years ago. Maybe that could take place on T&SR. And a challenge where I post either a picture or a phrase and ask the others to make a picture or write a little piece. Depends on what I post. That could take place at the_safehouse (if that would be okay) so that, with luck, both comms would wake up once again.
And now I'll go and read the DIALJ-Calender. I really hadn't the time before, December always is full of work.

Date: 2023-01-01 10:02 pm (UTC)The icon challenges were fun! I'm not very good at images, but it was fun to try. *g* I'd stuggle to take part if it was on T&SR though... Prompts on Safehouse would be fun - that's what was going on when I first came into Pros, way back in 2005. The mod would post a general prompt, and then give each person an individual prompt from that. So it might be a poem prompt one week, and she'd give each person an individual poem for their inspiration. Or a quotation prompt, and she'd give anyone who commented their own quotation. I guess the trouble with waking up comms though, is that there's not many people actively around joining in with things any more... But you never know - people do gather around for Christmas, so... *vbg*
I'm still catching up with the calendar too - I get stuck in December too, and then catching up on all the non-work stuff I have in my week off. I can't believe my holiday is already almost over this December!

I tried to reach the original owner of Pros Icon Test but she didn't respond. Not here on LJ and not on DW.
I know what you mean about RL being a bugger. I had too much work over the last two years (with my colleague passing away and me being the one to teach the replacement) and my sister getting ill with her back and my father with his knee. But I'm hopeful that 2023 will be better. My new colleague should be able to work all on her own by now and my father will have his operation at the end of January and for my sister... well, I decided that it is her problem, not mine. I can't solve it for her.

Hm. I prefer eps where the Lads are together most of the time, but I like Cowley to have a bit to do, too. A plot that makes sense would be preferable. Doyle should not wear his lumberjack jacket.

I wish to have more good vid ideas and the energy to work on them. Some ideas for fics would be great, too. I also hope more creators whose work is not online will post it so that everyone can enjoy it.

That people who love our Bodie/Doyle especially can come together and inspire each other to be creative and imaginative, and perhaps to reach out to more people and show them how fab the lads are together. *g* Basically, I wish all the splinters of our Pros fandom could come whooshing back together again, like an explosion in reverse!
