Hope I'm not too late to contribute! I kinda threw this together as soon as I got back home from ZebraCon so please forgive me if it needs refining. I didn't want to be too late.

Crimson's drawing was absolutely beautiful and made me want to see what Bodie did next. Many thanks to Crimson for her inspirational drawing!

Oh my, but this is utterly gorgeous. The play of muscles in Doyle's back, Bodie's possessive hand, Doyle's forearms, all lovely. And I can't believe you've done it since you got back from ZCon!

Thanks, hon! I saw the challenge before heading off to ZCon and was thinking about it the whole time I was away. When I got home Sunday evening, I spent some time finding some source materials to work from, threw it all together and have been working on this every spare moment since then. I usually take more time and dither a bit with things but sometimes they come together quickly. :-) I like those kinds of paintings.

It was wonderful getting the chance to meet you this past weekend! I wish we'd had more time to talk but things were a bit crazy. :-) I'm so glad you were there! Thanks for your kind comments and I'll talk with you later!

Oh, my goodness!!!! I really love it!!! It's totally breathless, amazing and WONDERFUL! I can't leave my eyes off!!! Doyle's bum and Bodie's possessive hand... It's PERFECT!

BTW, I had a glimpse of paris7am's article of ZebraCon, she mentioned your portraits of Bodie and Doyle. These are incredibly gorgeous!!!! Whenever I see your masterpieces, I can't help being impressed! You're a professional artist, aren't you?

First off, thank 'you'! WOW! This is absolutely delightful and gorgeous and heart wrenchingly beautiful and so real! Like many I am finding it very hard to take my eyes off of it.

The play of light over their skin, especially over Bodie's face is exquisite. Bodie's expression flawless and has so many emotions playing over it, and I love it.
I love the way you have Ray's hand look like it has fallen away from it's resting place.
That hand gently pulling Ray close. *sighs*
The blue of the sky subtly peeping through the nets, to me, heralding that's it all gonna be alright from here on in.
Oh I could go on, I really could. But I will just say that I 'love' it 'so much', and that because in someway I managed to inspire this amazing painting, has made me feel incredibly elated, honoured and also very humbled all at the same time.
They say 'a picture paints a thousand words', this one really does, in so many ways.

I'm so pleased you liked the painting--that means a lot to me. :-) I really wanted to compliment your gorgeous drawing and I just hope I've succeeded. I picked up a feeling from your drawing that Doyle wanted to comfort Bodie and so I wanted to turn Bodie around so he could be comforted. I kept hoping that I could get something like that across as successfully as you did. :-)

I just wish I'd seen the challenge a bit earlier as I can see things I'd like to change, but that's how it always is, isn't it? ;-)Thanks so much again for your wonderful drawing--none of these fantastic stories or my painting would have existed without it. :-)

Geez, hon, make a gal cry. It's so nice I'm teary. *g* Wonderful. I love the skin-tone and the muscles on Doyle's body, and his hand wrapped around Bodie's arm. I keep thinking about your wonderful story with your beautiful illustrations. I love the idea of Doyle as a frustrated artist as I relate to that desire to have been a successful artist but failing and having to choose a different path. So your story resonated with me quite a bit. Bodie being the support he needed to gain confidence in his work was incredibly sweet--and I liked that Bodie wasn't always nice about it but gave him a kick in the pants when he needed it. Great story! :-) Thank you very much--that one's seriously a keeper.

So, I'd all resigned myself to not posting anything for this challenge, even though I was totally inspired by Crimson's drawing, because the plot I'd worked out just went on for ages, and I'm really really bad at time management these days... and then I saw your drawing, and there was this little bit of me that kept thinking of them getting from the first drawing to the second... and then I was thinking, well that wouldn't take long, and then... well then I had something to post after all! So thank you for that, as well as for such a totally lush picture of the lads! And it really is - you can just feel Doyle's skin in Bodie's arms, in his hands, you know? And it so belongs to Bodie, too!

And as everyone else has said, it's such a treat to have more of your lads-art, having just seen the photos that people put up from Z-con, and I'm so happy that you're inspired by discoveredinalj! I so love Pros fandom... *g*

I'm just echoing everyone else but this so ... marvellous. i think what tugs my heart is thte fact that both men are equal here - Bodie seems to have the upper hand (no pun intended) but Doyle's arm holding Bodie's shows he is just as strong. Love Bodie's expression. one of the best pieces I've seen.
