Pros Christmas Colouring Fest
Dec. 16th, 2025 07:46 pmWhat a fun game for today's Discovered in the Wassail Bowl!
tinturtle invited us to post our coloured-in pictures here to the comm, so that's what I'm doing. I wasn't clever enough to work out digital colouring, so mine is coloured in with pencils, and a couple of other bits and bobs. Unlike Doyle, I'm not sure I should have been artistic, but it was fun - thank you! *g*

Date: 2025-12-16 09:38 pm (UTC)Phew. I was worried nobody else was going to make a post. :)
I like your hand colored picture, especially some of the textures, like the foliage of the tree. I value the handmade quality it gives a picture when I color it by hand. I hoped to do mine that way, but you know, life.
Looks like you also used paint for the lower part of Bodie’s hat? Where else did you use another medium?

Date: 2025-12-16 11:00 pm (UTC)And thank you! It was nice to colour by hand, I have to say - looking down at paper and colours instead of at a screen all the time. But yeah, it takes time, even doing it fairly simply. We have free-posting days on Christmas and New Year, if you find some more time to hand-colour, you could always post your lads on those days?
There's some green biro in the Christmas tree, and actually some sparkly-copper pen in Doyle's hair, though it didn't come out in the image. Bits of gold pen dotted around... oh, and Bodie's hat is white correction fluid!! I like how it makes it a bit 3d!

I like the idea of doing a hand coloring to post on one of the free days. I'll probably do that.
Correction fluid is paint, I guess. *g*
