The Sequel

I've attempted a sequel to my Fall Girl Drabble with the prompt "Truth".

Everything happens for a reason, my mum used to say.
Hell of a way to find out she was right.
If someone told me a few hours ago I'd be lying in Bodie's bed, his arms around me while he slept....well, I can't believe it.
Thought he'd never forgive me.
I was sure he blamed me. But he blamed himself.
Thought he wouldn't listen to me. But he listened intently.
I was afraid he wouldn't believe me, but he saw the truth.
When he reached out suddenly and kissed me so passionately, I knew it was the beginning of everything.

See there's that Bodie passion that was lacking with Marika. And I loved that Bodie proved all of Doyle's assumptions about him wrong.
I really like this. It really defines the moment. I can imagine Doyle sighing and rubbing his cheek up against that broad chest and settling down to sleep now.
