Okay, so technically I wrote it, but Rebel used the puppy eyes of doom on me! I was almost helpless in their thrall.

The Naked Civil Servant

Cowley wasn't a fool. He'd seen enough careers ruined by just the semblance of an abuse of power. He knew the differences between them in class, social standing, and the simple chain of command made their relationship wrong even if both of them weren't men.

Moreover, their choice of venue wasn't just illicit but illegal. His office, where Her Majesty's business was carried out, hardly qualified as the private environs homosexuality was banished to by law.

Cowley sipped his single malt. Perhaps he was a fool, he thought. But he wasn't a coward.

His door opened.

"George."

Cowley smiled. "Minister."

I had in mind the first season Minister. I think he was Minister of Fascist Thuggery. :-)

Allan Surtees is definitely a great Minister for Cowley. Sometimes I pretend they're all the same Minister. After all, I wouldn't want to imply that Cowley was the Cabinet's bicycle. :-)

And I'm looking forward to Rebels bunnies becoming stories too.
