Happy Rum and Black Day
Dec. 2nd, 2007 01:44 pmYay - it's Dec 2nd! Now those nursing a hangover from the Scarsdale might have to look away, but for the rest of you...
Some icons to get us in the party mood - first time I have actually sat down to make some, so I hope you like!

And since today is celebrating that Christmas drink of rum and black, here is a selection of fics where our lads get rather tipsy…
FIC SELECTION
The Joy of Camping - Miriam Heddy
Bodie grinned, taking another pull from the bottle he was cradling like a newborn. "Queer as a three-pound note. As in not straight, gay, a fairy, an uncrowned queen, a pansy, poofter, bugger, sodomite, and campier 'n a row of tents," a tight smile and a pause for breath as it seemed to occur to Bodie that they were, in fact, in a tent, then, "Not to put too fine a point on it, the love that dare not speak its name, or, as the Yanks would say, a faggot."
Ray could only stare hard at Bodie until he came back into focus again, then he found his voice, "You saying you're bent?"

Jingle Balls or Hard Times – M Fae Glasgow --PDF link
By midnight, the first shift was well over the eight and the second shift was already half-way under the table. Or, to be specific, Bodie was several over the eight and Doyle was under the table.

Just A Kiss – Sebastian
There was plenty going on in the centre of the room; dancing, singing, shouting, the clinking of glasses as the celebration reached its height. Plenty round the edges, too, where various couples, overcome by the quantities of free champagne cuddled, or slept, openmouthed. Most people were quite merry enough to accept the most unusual happenings as not out of place; even when one of the unusual happenings was agents 3.7 and 4.5 draped around one another exchanging drowsy loving kisses at 2 am.

Susan And Betty’s Drinking Game – Krisser
"Just how is the game played?" Ray inquired.
"Dice and daring," Susan replied with a twinkle in her eye.
Both men wore dubious expressions.
Betty sat down opposite the men and refreshed their drinks. "My, my, after years of hearing endless adventurous exploits, I can't believe you two could be afraid of a few questions."

Glenmorangie by The Hag
Bodie?" Slurred, painful. "Bodie? You awake?"
No, Bodie decided. His mouth didn't feel up to coping with actual words.
"Bodie? What the hell were we drinkin'?"
Too much, whatever it was.
"Bodie...?"
A tentative hand on his shoulder shook an earthquake through his head.
"Why we both naked, then?"
xXx
Enjoy! And cheers!

Date: 2007-12-07 06:10 pm (UTC)Fantastic icons. Especially that one. And the links are great too. That bit from the Miriam Heddy story had me in pieces the first time I read it, and still does the trick!

Date: 2007-12-11 03:17 pm (UTC)I must dig out the lyrics to the Ramos song from the forum, they were so funny! Ah that was it:
Ramos! Ramos! Ramos!
Doesn't need a gang
Ramos! Ramos! Ramos!
His favourite word is bang!
Priceless stuff from a poster known as PW on the TV lounge forum. And Ramos! The Musical! can be found in full here: http://www.thetvlounge.co.uk/professionals/viewtopic.php?t=599&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
