Flirting Dragon King
Doyle couldn't decide whether to tell him, as the rockets pushed higher into the night sky, as the sparkles and spins of light slid down through the air, as Bodie leaned in closer to the figure at his side. One hand rested lightly on a dusky shoulder, the other on a hip pushed forward, emphasising long, smooth legs.

But that was no tall, oriental lovely – at least not the variety that Bodie was expecting. And Doyle discovered, to his surprise, that if Bodie was going to walk the wild walk, then he intended them to do it, as ever, together.


Ring of Fire
It was never safe to play with fire, Bodie knew that, knew it in his bones and his heart and his soul. But sometimes, just sometimes there had to be more to life, there had to be a place where you stretched yourself high and far and away from everything that people thought they knew.

He slid his hand further down the slim, firm thighs, tilted his head to whisper soft nothings into an eager ear. The heat under his palms was nothing, it was Doyle he could feel smouldering behind him, and he smiled calmly, fanned the flames higher.

Oh I know, I know... and I tried I really did... and I actually did write a third, but it was more a sort of damp squib, so I'm leaving that in a bucket of water... The little buggers just wouldn't... well, you know, bugger. Or anything! It may take more than just another one... Or maybe they're just working up to the idea... *frowns more at the lads*

Sometimes the anticipation, the tease is over half the fun (and these 2 drabbles are very enjoyable). But it would be nice if there was a completed set.

I've got to admit being partial to the tease myself... hence my glee over Gods and Goddesses! Although I'm very happy that there's a sequel now too!

Hee - well, you'd think 11 hours might be enough time, but you know what the lads are like... When they're not cooperating they're just not cooperating...I knew I shouldn't've posted these...

You already know how much I adore these drabbles. They're wonderful! And you have my sympathies on the guys refusing to co-operate on a sequel. Maybe you just need to approach it from a different angle? A story instead of a drabble, or a longer series of drabbles?

I tried very hard to write a sequel to "Present Company" for this challenge, and you know what? Six pages in, Doyle's still missing the point and Bodie is evading him for all he's worth. I think I'll salvage what I can of that, and give them until Christmas to get their act together. Maybe they just need more time...

Both are well done - but I adore every word of the second, Ring of Fire. Can't believe how much you manage to set up with so few words there. The whole first paragraph of it is smth I want to cut out and keep (or should that be copy and paste nowadays??)
