Drabble Tree Challenge

What can I say? I'm a drabbling fool.. I used hambelandjemima's last word 'before'.

This is a little 100 word coda to 'The Rack'.


Before Doyle can reset the locks Bodie pushes him onto the door handle. He opens his mouth to swear but Bodie’s tongue fills it and his groan becomes erotic.

Doyle smells of the Thames, where he sat and rubbed his knuckles for hours. Yet Bodie is kiss-biting his jaw, clearly oblivious. Bodie’s palm finds the ache in his kidney while the other finds his neck.

Their breathing is loud and uneven.

Doyle fists Bodie’s shirt in his hand, lays his head down on that wide shoulder, and knows he has never heard anything so hopeful in his whole fucking life.

I have to admit though, that I didn't understand your other one. Think I have to see at least one ep to get what an r/t is and why everyone refers to everyone else by a number. LOL.

Okay, I'll help:)) An r/t is a two way radio transmitter, a kind of walkie-talkie that they used to carry around, and which had a range of.. well, whatever the scriptwriters needed it to have a range of at any given time:)) And in CI5 as they were technically agents and not police, they all had two digit numbers as call signs. Bodie was 3.7 ( said as "three seven", Doyle was 4.5). Cowley was the one who used their call sign numbers the most, espcially over the r/ts. And Bodie mouthing off over an open r/t, with Cowley listening in, was done in an episode once, so I thought I'd use it here.

One day I'll get you some episodes burned. And you can do some Torchwood for me..*g*

Thank you. That scene where Doyle is hit by Paul Coogan and Bodie flexes his fingers in repsonse always lingers. Such self-control from the pair of them - until, of course, Coogan dies.
