One more Elizabeth Holden treat for today - because we should start as we mean to go on, right? With lots of lovely Prosfic to read...

I took a short look and it seems to be exactly my cup of tea!
There is a lot I have to print when I'm back at work next week. (I don't like 'screen reading'!)

Thank you both!

"Sweat dreams" ? :-)

Fortunately we have the opportunity to (laser)print some private stuff at work - double sided and with a nice binder. So I kind of make my own zines! :-)
And it's much nicer to read on the sofa, good music, outside it's snowing, one hand cuddling a cat, the other holding the book or a glass of Calvados wine... ;-)

This story is new to me as were a couple of the others so I'm very pleased you've posted them. Thanks a lot!

'we should start as we mean to go on, right?' I'll second that.

Also printing this for future consumption, thank you. I used to get so bored waiting while my sons have their piano lesson on Monday evenings, but now I have the perfect way of passing the time, although I'd rather be doing it firlefanzine's way.

Well, maybe I exaggerated a bit... It's nor ALWAYS snowing! :-)

That was perfect for a cold Monday night (no snow here to delay the start of term, sadly, but our little river is trying hard to freeze over).

The narrative being disjointed was clever, and then the disjointedness carried on in the last scene, where important and profound declarations, thoughts and decisions keep being interrupted by noisy truck drivers! Plus I've thought for a while that a transport caff is a very Bodie and Doyle environment. Hopefully they'll find themselves having a hearty breakfast in a good one sometime.
