[identity profile] fiorenza-a.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] discoveredinalj

I'm still writing stories - but I wanted to do some pics - and a vid - if I could. I always had it in mind to do a pic for my Edinburgh square and this is what I came up with (after, as some will know, a hilarious detour through this, which was not at all in keeping with the tone I wanted to strike!).

My pic was inspired by all those fics where Doyle runs off and gets lost in the snow (Bodie always seems to get lost in the desert - or maybe that's just the fic I read...).

Anyhoo - here's me pic:

And I wasn't sure if I was supposed to put disclaimers'n'stuff on a pic - so I have below, just in case...

Ooh, that's a very atmospheric image! I like the composition and textural detail. It certainly does suggest intrigue in a snowy landscape. ...I hadn't thought about the Doyle/snow Bodie/desert dynamic before, but I'll keep a look out for that trend.

Heh, I'm not sure what's going on in those kilt pics, but I guess it would be filed under 'what happens in Edinburgh stays in Edinburgh'. :D

How is it that I missed the original Bingo card post? Anyway, it's a really lovely pic. Very atmospheric, it makes want to know what's going on there. And for me, definitely mature. *g*

Oh I do like that, you have captured the sense of Bodie looking for Doyle.

Very nice pic! Interesting thought about Doyle getting lost in the snow, Bodie in the desert. I've never noticed that particularly, but then I did write a fic where Doyle gets lost in the snow (sort of). *g* I think it's more that I can't think of many stories where Bodie gets lost in the desert, though - or at all, even, which is interesting, but that might just be memory...

And with my mod-hat on - image artists tend not to put headers/trailers for their work, but to be honest that's always baffled me. If anything, it usually involves more specific use of copyrighted work (the actual images) than writing does. So from the mod's pov - go for it! And in general, posting looks good! (Disclaimers may or may not do any legal good at all, but I've always seen them more from a courtesy perspective anyway - it's always nice to acknowledge when we've had help, and creating the show in the first place is the biggest help we're ever going to have! So it's as much a good-karma-into-the-world thing, which is so much nicer, surely, than an of-course-I-can-play-with-them-you-can't-legally-stop-me sort of approach).

Oh, my--those kilt pictures cracked me up.

This is beautiful, Doyle looking worried and the snowy landscape behind him. Hmm, I wrote a story where they both got lost in the snow...no desert stories so far.

Oh, I like this--wonderful effect with the images--both of them desperate in their own ways, I think. and then the snow. There's a lovely story here. *g* Thank you!

This is lovely - really nicely put together. I like all the elements, especially Bodie's eyes and the lovely focus they have.
