Changing Partners



Another day, another Christmas party – I don’t even know whose party it is.


The only thing I know is the clothes and songs are different to yesterday.
And somehow, this dreamy and soulful music is getting under my skin.
Shit, the music’s making me go soft – that’s never happened before !
And anyway, where is my bloody partner ?



I still have these pictures in my mind of yesterday, at the Squad’s party……


I remember it clearly……..


Ray was dancing as if there were no tomorrow – with Betty.


He´s always such a good dancer – but why Betty ?


…and he’s been so bloody relaxed.  He really deserves to be happy – but why with Betty ? 


Damn, I need another drink now.

Oh stop looking at me like that, Ray – hope his mind reading skills aren’t working tonight.
